To many choices as to what game I replace GTA with! Thinking Haze but i'm getting bored with playing FPS games.
People also said that DVD wasn't "necessary" on the PS2 either as PC's are doing fine with CD-Rom. I think we can all agree that the people who said that were wrong and i'm beginning to get a sense of deja-vu.
@29.1 I think most people who really like their music would by on CD because of its vastly superior sound quality to music downloaded from Itunes etc. Same goes with movies i don't wanna be downloading a 20GB movie it would take ages on most peoples internet connections.
As for just having the core version of a game on a disc and downloading the rest they would then probably charge extra for that, I would rather just buy the complete package on one disc thank you!
@1.1 Because "Upscaled" isn't high definition whereas Bluray is high definition. Some people including myself want to be able to see the film at its best quality for picture and for sound. The DVD won't have a 7.1 uncompressed PCM soundtrack.
@1.3 The title of this story was the same on the source website. However the site has since changed its title to: "More Reasons why PS3’s Blu-Ray wins over the 360’s DVD"
Its when sandbox games start requiring two DVDs that its going to get worse. They would have to make it like GTA3 were instead of needing to load between islands you would have to insert a new disc each time.
lol I thought compression could make any game fit on one dvd? More proof that Bluray was a good choice.
@1.1 The Gears logo with the monkey head in it is a reference to the new Timesplitters game which supposedly takes the mickey out of other games with Gears being one of them.
This does sound like a reasonable explaination but so do all the others. I doubt we'll ever know the truth if the delay is down to one of the consoles.
Surely something this blatent shouldn't be allowed?!?!
The Playstation 1 games are due for the 9th not today.
I'm thinking its gonna cost $25-30 In the US and £20/€30 in the UK/Europe for the download version of course.
At least there giving us the CHOICE to have this or not just like xbox owners have the CHOICE to buy a HD-DVD drive.
Forcing the Devs to compress instead of spending that time on making a game better without having to worry about space. I'm sure all devs would rather work on HD-DVD or Bluray as it saves them having to worry about things they shouldn't have to.
Not exactly all though is it? My HD Ready tv doesn't have freeview. This USB tuner would turn the PS3 into a DVR not just a freeview receiver.
Could even be out this year in Europe as Freeview doesn't launch in New Zealand untill 2008 but is widely available in the UK and I think Europe aswell.
Maybe they have achieved complete photo realistic graphics with this game. So there will be no need to ever release another one so instead they are going to concentrate on creating as many cars as they possibly can.
The full list of cars is there. It does look more than 1000 but I can't really be bothered to count them all for an exact figure!
At the end of the list it says "This news was sent by one of our users." Don't see how this is an official announcement. Would be good if they had 10000 cars to download although i can't see how it'd work sorting through all them cars!
@53.1 The title of this story was the same on here as it was on the story website then the website changed its title. I didn't "Spin" the title i did exactly what the guidelines say and put the same title as was on the site at the time!
